My name is Todd Mendelsohn. Like yourself, for years I was looking for that magic bullet that would get me big and ripped. Magazines Don't Provide You With The Truth On How To Get Big and Ripped

Like yourself, I was a victim of all the magazines out there, whose only purpose is the advertising of bodybuilding supplements that I would not even give to my dog. I remember following the routines and diets prescribed (along with the copious amounts of supplements recommended) and having nothing to show for it but an empty wallet. "But wait a minute", you may say, "Isn't the purpose of the bodybuilding magazines to inform us of what are the correct ways to reach our goals and to provide us with the latest cutting edge information?" Well, yes, except for the fact that they make more revenue by selling ads to supplement companies than by selling you the magazine. You see, a full page ad in one of the major publications can run well over $10,000 per page! And when I say $10,000 I am being very conservative; it is more like $20,000.Now, next time you go to a newsstand and you pick up your favorite muscle magazine, count the number of ads. Do the math and then you'll see what I am talking about. In order for the magazines to continue getting the repeat business of these advertisers (supplement companies) they will not print the truth on how to get muscle. Why? Because the truth is that in order to get large amounts of muscle the key ingredients are proper training and diet! Some supplements such as whey protein are good only if it is inconvenient for you to eat several real meals a day. Other than that, please don't starve your wallet.

Why Shorter Workouts Are More Productive Than Long Ones

Guess what?! For years the magazines claimed that you needed to train 6 days a week 2 hours per day. When I challenged that and trained for 4-5 times per week for only 1 hour per day I started growing like a weed. Why? Because after 1 hour your production of anabolic hormones decline and your cortisol levels start increasing. As a result, you burn more muscle than what you put on. Also, training more than 5 days a week is also a waste of time as your nervous system requires rest in order for it to be able to activate as many muscle fibers as possible while you exercise.

Why Excessive Cardiovascular Exercise Is Unnecessary for Losing Body Fat

Too much cardio kills muscle; period! As a matter of fact, I recall a time when I was doing 1 hour of cardio in the morning, weight training at noon time, and 1 more hour of cardio in the afternoon. I was following a 2000 calorie diet and while I lost good body fat for a couple of weeks then I stagnated and lost nothing else. Once I got fed up with the situation and dropped the cardio I started losing again. Why? because if you restrict calories and also add a ton of cardio on top, your body lowers its metabolism in order to compensate for the increased activity level (kind of when you get a big phone bill and cut on the number of long distance calls the next time). So if you learn nothing from me today, learn this. As long as you are burning 3500 per week in your activity and you follow a diet that provides you with enough maintenance amounts, YOU WILL LOSE FAT without excessive cardiovascular exercise! Besides, too much cardio increases cortisol levels (which in turn break down muscle tissue) and also decrease testosterone levels.

Why Most People Miss 75% of Their Gains By Not Eating The Correct Meal Right After Their Workout
